How do I register or create a team?

There are three steps to registering a Coastrek team:

1. Team Captain registers the team and nominates three Team Members:

The Team Captain requires the names and email addresses of all team members and payment for at least one member (see below).

All team members must be over 16 on Event Day and the Team Captain must be over 18.

PLEASE NOTE: Participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian team member at all times.

2. Payment options:

a) Team Captain pays for all team members (non-refundable, non-tax-deductible individual registration). Relevant discount options (relevant to time of registration) will then apply to all members. * 

This is the easiest option which ensures all team members access the discount. You can then sort it out internally at your first training session.

b) Team Captain pays their own individual entry fee (non-refundable, non-tax-deductible individual registration). The captain can pay for themself only. Team members must then respond to their email invitation, complete rego and payment. 

Each Team Member is required to register themselves and pay an individual entry fee by the designated deadline (2 weeks from the date of the Team Captain's registration). The relevant registration fee for each participant is determined by when they complete the registration process. **

3. Email link invitation to team members:

Nominated team members will receive a link to complete their registration (health, waiver and contacts). This will only take a few minutes (and not a wink more, promise!). Once this is complete, you will appear on the team page and be able to let friends and family know how darn amazing you are for taking the Coastrek challenge.

If you do not receive an email, please ask your Team Captain to double check the address they entered for you and/or check your junk/spam folder.

*IMPORTANT: Make sure your team is aware that the entry fee changes during registration. They will be charged the entry fee that is relevant on the day they make payment - e.g., if they miss the promotional period, they will pay the standard rate, even if the Team Captain registered the team during the promotional period. 

**PLEASE NOTE:  As per the terms and conditions, the team captain commits to paying the FULL team entry fee (4 team entries). This applies to all unpaid team members or spare team entries. The team captain will be billed for the team entry (i.e. all unpaid entries and/or unpaid team members) 2 weeks from the date that the initial team registration is created by the team captain. An email reminder will be sent to the team captain prior to this fee being charged to the team captain’s credit card.
